Includes gear consultation, locating and reading big game, live ungulate harvest ceremony, field dressing and pack-out, wilderness skills, base camp craft, firearms safety, live fire training 15 to 750 yards, ammunition masterclass, and closing feast honoring the animal. Hunter Intensive — Day 1
Reconnect with skills your ancestors lived and died by. Find the rhythm of the animal, take part in a live ungulate harvest, field dress and pack out what's taken, and close the day by firelight, sharing the bounty at base camp. Includes gear consultation, field preparation, locating big game, harvest ceremony, field dressing, pack-out, wilderness skills, base camp craft, and closing feast.
Firearms Intensive — Day 2
Mastery starts with confidence. Train across all distances, 15 to 750 yards, with bolt-action, lever-action, revolver, and semi-auto platforms. Includes safety protocols, fundamentals, multiple platforms, ammunition masterclass, live fire training, and hunting-specific scenarios. Firearms and ammunition provided, plus ancestral lunch and drinks.
The Self-Sufficient Hunter — Mentorship
Personalized mentorship focused on scouting, planning, local knowledge, and harvesting food on the land you call home. Includes four 30-minute strategy calls, in-field pre-season scouting with camera deployment, in-field live hunt during season, habitat analysis, hunt plan development, and ongoing access for questions. Access to Ancestor Life Signal community and trail cameras deployed during scouting.
Shadow Deer Hunt — Observe Only
Observe a live deer hunt in real time in the D16 zone. Learn gear prep, scent management, optics, glassing techniques, live hunting strategy, ethics, humane harvest observation, and real-time field decision making. Expert in-field guide and real-time coaching provided.
Semi-Guided Hunt — Private Land
Fair chase hunt in a deer-rich habitat in San Diego. Take greater ownership of the hunt while still having experienced support available. Includes private land access, general area guidance, assistance with extraction, and deer-rich habitat. Optional pack goat support available.
Deer Hunt — Fully Outfitted
The ultimate immersive learning experience in San Diego's Backcountry (D16). Professional equipment can be provided — rifle, pistol, ammo, ancestral lunch, field snacks, and base camp. Guide teaches the reasoning behind access routes, glassing locations, wind, animal movement, timing, stalk strategy, shot opportunities, field decisions, extraction, and meat care. Up to 5 days. Optional spike camp and pack goat support available.
Band-Tailed Pigeon Hunt — Fully Outfitted
Fully outfitted hunt on Palomar Mountain. All essential equipment provided — shotgun, lead-free ammo, backpack with hydration, binoculars, primal bites, and fluids. Emphasis on field learning and reverent harvest. California hunting license and upland game stamp required.
